Our Story
I began my career as a speech-language pathologist working in Early Intervention, supporting young children and their families during some of the most important years of development. While nearly every parent I worked with said they read to their child, I often struggled to find books that truly met children where they were developmentally—especially from a language standpoint. That’s when the idea for Imitation Book was born. I created it as a simple, effective tool to help teach imitation—one of the most foundational skills in learning how to talk.
It started as something I used in my own sessions, and over time, it became clear that it could help many more families and therapists beyond my own practice. Today, Imitation Book and Action Book are being used by families and professionals across the country—and even around the world. These books are more than just stories; they build confidence, foster connection, and help children find their voice. I’m incredibly grateful to share them with you!
